A Free Orgy for Booklovers

This weekend the Tucson Festival of Books will again take over the University of Arizona campus.  Hundreds of editors and authors from every genre will participate in interviews and panel discussions, and hundreds of organizations and vendors will be manning booths hoping to share information.  Best of all, all events and parking are FREE!  There’s also a food court and an area devoted to children’s programming, too.

In three short years, this festival has become the fourth largest event of its kind.  I was involved in recruiting authors for the first TFOB, and my hat’s off to all the current volunteers who are making this event possible.  It takes a tremendous amount of work to pull this off, so if you go, be sure to thank the folks you see wearing the distinctive staff t-shirts.  They’re all volunteers.

I won’t be speaking this year since Veiled Mirror won’t be out yet, but I will be at the Saguaro Romance Writers booth (#216) from 12:15–1:45 Saturday.  I’ll also be at the TusCon Science Fiction Convention booth (#256) at various times on Sunday.  Please come by and say hello!

I hope to see you there!
