Release Date for Veiled Mirror

Today I found out that the ebook of my novel Veiled Mirror will be released on September 21st. Yay! The print version is tentatively scheduled for the same day. I’ll let you know if that changes.

I’d also like to remind everyone to be grateful today.

I have more than one friend who has been evacuated from the raging fires burning in the southern part of the state. So far, no one has lost their home, but it’s a minute by minute thing. We’ve had years of drought and weeks and weeks of wind.  About half a million acres have burned. The hot-shot crews have been working their asses off, and our state isn’t the only one affected. Fortunately, so far, no one has been seriously injured.

So if you get to sleep in your own bed tonight without fear that everything you own is at risk, be grateful.

  1. Congratulations!! It’s good know that all your hard work and long hours of galley proofing are about to pay off! Not to mention the e-minded of us who have a no-paper policy since getting a Kindle or other eReader, will be able to download the book, too! 🙂

And yes, those of us who are marginally affected by the change in air quality as a result of all the smoke are very lucky. I heard this morning that they’ve just gotten 40% of the fire contained, and if the wind stays low (fingers crossed) that some people can now go back to their homes today. I hope no one we know loses a house to the fire and it’s put out soon. Hot and sunny weather is not helping the firefighters, either.

  2. Congratulations on the release date. 🙂
